Your Tour

Riding with Riders of the Lost Trail is special.
We say this to highlight the fact that you, the rider,
are on holiday, and your enjoyment is our number
one priority. We have a small team, who all
understand that our aim is to fulfill your riding
expectations and much more. We only run small
groups, so you feel very much part of the tour, and
not just part of the 'herd' exness.

All levels of experience are catered for, from literally
first time off-roaders, to off-road experts. There
really is something for everyone. All you need is a
full bike license.

We provide expert knowledge of all aspects of your
adventure tour. This starts with the superb
motorbikes and riding equipment. Secondly, we offer
un-rivaled tracks and trails in the middle of a great
riding wilderness. Our guides have a vast
knowledge of not only the local geography exness thailand, but the
language, customs, history, and flora and fauna.

A day's riding contains between 90 - 130kms,
depending on the route and terrain. We offer
gentle flowing trails through incredible woodland,
river beds and crossings, tight and twisting single
track, rocky trials like technical sections, and hill
climbs you would not believe. Within 45 minutes
we can climb to nearly 1,300 meters in altitude,
and be looking over the straights of Gibraltar, and
on towards the Rif mountains of Northern Morocco.

We often stop for a coffee in the morning (civilised
eh!), and then later, break for lunch at one of many
traditional Spanish 'Ventas' or country restaurants.

The day's riding finishes anywhere between 5 & 6pm, where a cold drink is waiting to quench the thirst, earned from a fantastic day out in 'dirt biking paradise'.

What are you waiting for exness th..........................................?

Our Ethos

All of us at Riders of the Lost Trail feel it important to state our company ethos.
First and foremost, we love riding motorbikes off-road. However, it is important to note that our aim is to continue a sustainable business, and at the same time show respect for the terrain, wildlife, the authorities, land owners, and our neighbours.

We are not just a bunch of English blokes who have arrived, set up a biking business and are tearing up the hills and valleys until we are asked to move on. We have lived in Cortes de la Frontera for over ten years and we try, wherever possible, to follow circular routes so that the noise impact is kept to a minimum.

We Only Run Small Groups!

This is key in our minds to sustainability and responsibility.

We speak the language.
We take time to talk to the local farmers, and villagers.

We stop and allow horse riders, and other users of the tracks and trails to pass.

We are as integrated as possible into rural Spanish life, and as a result, offer not just a fantastic riding experience in some of the most breath-taking scenery in Spain, but we do it with the blessing of the people that live and work in the area.

The Bikes

Riders of the Lost Trail, currently runs a small fleet of KTM enduro bikes. Our maximum group size is 7 and we have 6 EXC-F 350's, and 1 EXC 450. The bikes are all 2013 / 2014 models.

These fantastic bikes have received very high acclaim since their launch, and we think they are the best trail / enduro bikes ever made.
The 350 power plant delivers smooth and consistent power, which is easy to handle for complete off-road beginners, and more than enough for expert riders.

The suspension and handling of the KTM's is just magnificent. All the bikes have been further strengthened by adding KTM's own sumpguard / bashplates. We have fitted the robust, full wrap around hand guards from Barkbusters. We used their VPS units on our previous Suzukis, and they proved to be incredibly tough.
Radiators are protected by Flatlands Racing’s (USA) full alloy guards / braces. We can offer a fully lowered bike for those riders with shorter legs, and also we have two different heights of bar risers for taller riders.

At the end of each day's riding, we perform a thorough check of the bikes for the following day's riding, and our maintenance schedules are rigorous to say the least.

Safety

With safety a priority, we offer the best bikes and riding equipment on the market.

The odd tumble will happen. It is all part and parcel of the 'off roading' experience. In nearly all cases, the rider (and guide!!!) picks him or herself up, and then feels mildly embarrassed for a few minutes!! REMEMBER, what feel like 'lightning speed' is normally between 25 and 45 kmh.

All our guides are trained in motorcycle 'First Response' first aid, and also in outdoor first aid. These are professional qualifications and deemed suitable for the work place by the HSE in the UK.

We carry first aid kits designed for our activity as well as GPS units, mobile phones, and a 'Spot' Satellite GPS Messenger unit which can relay emergency information to the relevant services, even when there isn't a mobile phone signal. We have a Landrover Defender 110 on hand as a back-up vehicle if required.

We feel that we have done everything within our means to keep our riding tours as safe as possible.
